Rhino - Hybrid Reluctance Actuator
The Hybrid Reluctance Actuator combines ferromagnetic material, permanent magnets, coils, and a compliant mechanism into a hybrid reluctance actuator. By leveraging permanent magnet bias flux and at equivalent dimensions, it delivers superior energy efficiency, reduced heat generation, and improved thermal performance.
This is the actuator of choice when you need high force with minimal power dissipation in thermally sensitive environments. Our current-control models enable immediate integration with your controller and driver.
Key Advantages
High Energy-Efficiency
By using a permanent magnet, we improved the force efficiency meaning reducing the power consumption and heat generation at the same force output.
Bi-directional
Stroke
Movement in both directions with the resting position in the center. This makes the force more consistent over the whole stroke of the actuator
Improved Controllability
The permanent magnet bias linearizes the force-current relationship, significantly increasing control performance.
