About Fluxthor
Fluxthor is a TU Delft spinoff building the first commercially available reluctance actuators. A new category of magnetic actuation that breaks the force-density and efficiency limits of conventional actuating principles. More force from a smaller, more efficient, lighter package, exactly where the most demanding systems need it: faster stage settling times in advanced positioning stages in semiconductor equipment, higher-bandwidth fast steering mirrors and nanometer alignment in optics, and viable precision actuation in space where every watt and gram counts. We're commercializing patented technology out of TU Delft, backed by deep-tech investors, building the actuation infrastructure layer for the next decades of high-tech systems. The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, technically curious Electronics Engineer to join us! You’ll work directly with the founding team to bring our core technology from the lab to market. Expect to design, build, and test new power electronics, instrumentation and motion controllers, from the initial prototypes up to production and testing. This is a full-stack electronics role in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment, with direct influence on design decisions, product roadmap, and technical direction. What You’ll Do
Design, build, and test power electronics and motion controllers for driving reluctance actuators — from initial prototypes to production-ready hardware
Develop and iterate on PCB designs for coil drivers, instrumentation amplifiers, signal processing circuits, and microcontroller architecture
Build instrumentation setups to characterize actuator performance (force, displacement, thermal, bandwidth, flux etc.)
Assist in sensor selection in collaboration with mechanical engineers to fit electronics needs of motor drivers.
Own the full electronics development cycle: schematic capture, PCB layout, bring-up, debugging, and validation
Write clean scripts for automated testing and data acquisition
Contribute to defining electronics architecture decisions that shape the product roadmap
Work closely with the founding team on translating customer requirements into technical specifications
What We’re Looking For
MSc or BSc in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or System & Control
Eager to learn and ready to take full ownership of projects in a startup environment
Team-oriented and communicative and you like working together at the office
Hands-on mindset: you enjoy designing, building, testing and iterating
Experience with drawing electronics schematics and PCB designs in programs like EasyEDA, kiCad, or Altium
Comfortable writing clean C/C++ and Python code for embedded systems and experimental evaluation
Candidates must be legally permitted to work in the Netherlands; we are unable to provide visa or work permit sponsorship.
Bonus Points
2+ years of experience in design power electronics, instrumentation setups and controller architectures.
Take the lead on the domain of electrical engineering within the company
Interested in electromagnetic physics on the electrical side and how this translates to dynamics
What We Offer
€3.500 - €4.500 salary range that matches your experience and skill level, including 8% vacation allowance
28 days of vacation
A front-row seat in a high-impact startup bringing new physics into the world of precision motion
Close collaboration with a highly driven, technical founding team
Office space at YES!Delft, surrounded by a vibrant startup ecosystem with events
Opportunity to be listed as co-inventor on new patent filings

The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on, curious Control Engineer to join us! You will work directly within the R&D and product side of the company to analyze actuator performance and translate this into optimal control strategies. Reluctance actuators are inherently hard to control due to non-linear behavior which poses a lot of challenges in control. This requires a creative approach to alternative feedback loops and non-linear control methods to be able to achieve the precision required. You will extract data from the actuator test rig setup, advise on mechanical or electrical design and implement control algorithms on our lab and self made motion controllers.
What You’ll Do
Stay up to date and study existing literature from non-linear control algorithms, such as reset control.
Analyze data that comes from our test setup to model and understand actuator behavior
Define control loops that are optimal for controlling our actuators given existing mechanical and electrical design
Advise on improvements for hardware design to improve control performance of our products
Report on important tests to proof precision, mechanical bandwidths, accelerations in the lab and from customer implementations
Write clean and scalable software which interfaces with the hardware and user interface side
What We’re Looking For
MSc or BSc in System & Control, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics or Electrical Engineering

Team-oriented and communicative and you like working together at the office
Hands-on mindset: you enjoy designing, building, testing and iterating
Comfortable writing clean C/C++ and Python code for embedded systems and experimental evaluation
Experience in writing clean and scalable software
Full knowledge of git and version control
