The hybrid reluctance actuator combines ferromagnetic material, permanent magnets, coils, and a compliant mechanism into a hybrid reluctance actuator. By leveraging permanent magnet bias flux, it achieves a much higher motor constant of the actuator at equivalent dimensions, delivering superior energy efficiency, reduced heat generation, and improved thermal performance.

Fluxthor emerged from breakthrough research at TU Delft, one of Fluxthor’s founders invented reluctance tuning technology, now protected by multiple patents. Today, our Delft-based team engineers precision actuators for semiconductor equipment, optical systems, and scientific instruments across Europe. Every unit is assembled and tested in-house before delivery. Our first customers are already integrating Fluxthor actuators into next-generation systems.
